Madeline Farr is Director of Retail Academy at Retail Strategies. She leads the firm’s award-winning retail education program for municipal leaders nationwide. Retail Academy is the only program of its kind in the U.S. It combines classroom instruction with customized market data and retail real estate expertise, helping mayors, city managers, economic development professionals and chamber leaders position their communities for retail investment.
Madeline brings 11 years of experience with Retail Strategies and its affiliate, Retail Specialists. She has a background in GIS, market research and retail recruitment strategy. She develops and teaches the Retail Academy curriculum and oversees its online learning platform. She also secures federal grant funding for regional trainings and manages statewide partnerships. Her work focuses on rural communities, where strategic retail recruitment has a measurable effect on economic growth and quality of life.
Madeline is a Birmingham Business Journal NextGen honoree in Real Estate & Construction and a licensed real estate professional in Alabama. She is a member of ICSC and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations, with a minor in Business, from Auburn University.
