BIRMINGHAM, AL (August 30, 2019) – The Central St. Landry Economic Development District (CSLEDD) of Louisiana, a division of St. Landry Economic Development, has partnered with Retail Strategies to assist with market analysis and recruitment of retail, restaurant, and hospitality brands. The CSLEDD encompasses a large geography that forms the central backbone of commerce along the I-49 Interstate Corridor in St. Landry Parish, the heart of Cajun/Creole Culture and the Gateway to the Acadiana Region.

“The CSLEDD is primarily focused on building foundational capacity for economic development through, planning, infrastructure and aesthetic improvements along this fast-growing commercial corridor. Engaging the Retail Strategies’ network was a natural fit to complement CSLEDD’s ongoing work by identifying appropriate retail and food related storefront tenants that fulfill this growing capacity along the I-49 Corridor,” said Bill Rodier, CEO and Director of St. Landry Economic Development.

We are confident that this partnership with Retail Strategies will further accelerate the renaissance of dynamic growth we are now experiencing.”

“I am thrilled to be working alongside the Central St. Landry Economic Development District and the Parish Economic Development team,” said Sarah Beth Thornton, Business Developer for Retail Strategies. “The parish leadership has done a fantastic job in their strategic plans for economic growth, and I look forward to building upon the current retail base to bring in new retail options that will thrive!”
