The Retail Strategies team will begin by performing its Downtown Strategic Assessment, where it will provide an extensive market analysis and evaluate the design, tourism, policy, and economic opportunities in the proposed downtown transit area. Retail Strategies will provide a strategic, asset-based, and market-driven plan with transformation strategies designed for immediate implementation and success.
“When we met with Retail Strategies, we were interested not only in the relationships that they have with retailers but also intrigued by their work with downtowns across the country as our future plans include building a unique space -as part of the Palmdale Transit Area Specific Plan,” Murphy explained.
Through the new partnership, Retail Strategies will perform a real estate market analysis of the businesses located in Palmdale and identify areas of opportunity with expanding businesses. The Retail Strategies team will work hand in hand with city leaders to help them understand their market and highlight opportunities for infill. Most importantly, the team at Retail Strategies will proactively reach out to potential businesses, property owners, brokers, and developers on behalf of the city.
We are excited to bring in a partner like Retail Strategies to help our small businesses, and to help fill vacancies in existing commercial centers. Developing a comprehensive retail plan now will ensure Palmdale is well positioned to accelerate the recovery phase caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
