BIRMINGHAM, AL (July 26, 2022) – Coalinga, California, has appointed Retail Strategies, the leading national community development firm, to develop and execute a retail recruitment plan for the city.

“The city is taking advantage of recent growth and is well-positioned to capitalize on that growth as expanding businesses factor that criteria into their site selection process. The Retail Strategies team will be aggressively marketing the city to expanding businesses, “said Matthew Tate, director of business development for the western region at Retail Strategies. “Our team will be swiftly learning about the real estate in the market and identifying retail and restaurant brands so we can represent Coalinga at the upcoming ICSC San Diego show in September.”

Marissa Trejo, city manager of Coalinga, stated, “Our city’s real estate has a variety of opportunities from available land to second-generation buildings for retailers and developers to consider. City leaders look forward to receiving the retail recruitment plan and utilizing it as a marketing tool for the city.

The city is excited to be represented by such a skilled team like Retail Strategies. They’ll act as an extension of the city’s staff.”
