Birmingham’s real estate and construction scene has been on a hot streak for years – and the construction and development pipeline has continued. Fortunately, Birmingham is home to an abundance of emerging leaders in real estate and construction who are primed to shape the local industry for years to come. In this special feature in, we’re introducing readers to up-and-coming professionals in the real estate and construction fields. These are emerging leaders who have been identified by their colleagues, clients or industry veterans as key names to watch in Birmingham’s real estate world.
Harris McCullough is a recipient of the 2022 NextGen Real Estate and Construction award by the Birmingham Business Journal. Harris is a Portfolio Director with Retail Strategies and works with client communities and real estate professionals throughout Tennessee and Kentucky. Prior to this role, she worked for Retail Specialists, our sister company, as a property manager.
Harris graduated from Culverhouse College of Business at The University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a specialization in Real Estate. Harris also holds her Alabama real estate salesperson license and has completed several deals since her time with the companies. During college she worked as an intern at Marcus & Millichap where she analyzed market reports, investment profiles, and property valuation models for potential investment sale opportunities.

Harris is a Portfolio Director for community clients in Tennessee and Kentucky. She acts as the day-to-day contact for our clients and works internally with the Retail Development team to make retailer outreach on behalf of the city.
