Sales Tax Report:
Top 150 Retailers & Restaurants
Combining top restaurant and retail companies, Retail Strategies looks at sales tax dollars.
In this year’s annual report, there are some big name brands that didn’t make the list. Included in the PDF report are U.S. annual sales, average sales per unit, and an estimate of how many employees an average retail store or restaurant will staff. Naturally, we have included annual sales tax collection revenue for cities that collect 2% sales tax.
Why 150 companies?
These brands are growing, stable, and emerging which generates long-term returns for a community in sales tax, job creation, and property taxes. With these retailers as a base to bolster revenue collection, a city can fund local initiatives and put money toward the city budget.
If you are curious what an average Quick Service Restaurant or Grocer will bring in terms of Jobs and Sales Tax Revenue to your community, this report proves that retail development is economic development. If you have questions, our team is available to point you in the direction of retail recruitment and retention resources.
