BIRMINGHAM, AL (September 18, 2019) – Sherwood, Arkansas has chosen Retail Strategies to handle retail and restaurant recruitment on behalf of the city. Sherwood is located in central Arkansas and has seen consistent population growth over the last two decades. The city’s tagline of “Close to the Action, Far From the Noise” captures their location proximity to the capital and the job opportunities in the surrounding areas, but gives their residents a quiet place to come home and raise their families.
“We currently have more than 2,500 businesses, including some Fortune 500 businesses, operating in Sherwood so we are definitely in a growth mode,” said Colleen Carr, economic development director for the City of Sherwood and its Chamber of Commerce.

Through this partnership, the Retail Strategies team will work hand in hand with city leaders to explain their trade area and opportunities for real estate development. Retail Strategies will perform a market analysis of the businesses located in Sherwood and identify areas of opportunity with businesses expanding into the Arkansas market. Most importantly, the commercial real estate professionals at Retail Strategies will proactively reach out to potential businesses, property owners, brokers, and developers on behalf of the City.
