BIRMINGHAM, AL (July 2, 2024) – The city of South Fulton, Georgia is excited to announce a new partnership with Retail Strategies, the leading community development firm. City officials selected Retail Strategies for its expertise in developing and implementing a plan for retail, restaurant, and its main street to support the community’s economic development efforts.
“The city of South Fulton is geographically a large community and has had a boom in residential development,” said Artie Jones, economic development director for South Fulton. “Collectively our city staff and elected officials know there is a lot of opportunity for retail and restaurant development in the community and have chosen Retail Strategies to support and guide those growth opportunities.”

Our team is excited to get to work not only helping with the national retail development strategy, but also creating a plan to advise on the development of the city’s downtown.”
Retail Strategies will serve as an extension of the economic development efforts, first creating a market and real estate analysis that will drive the creation of a retail recruitment plan. The retail recruitment services team will present real estate opportunities in South Fulton to its network of developers, brokers, and expanding retail companies. The company will also attend retail trade shows hosted by ICSC and Retail Live! on behalf of the community.
The Downtown Strategies team, the downtown division of Retail Strategies, will host a Strategic Visioning Workshop to meet with and gather input from key stakeholders. This serves as the first phase to developing a five-year action plan for South Fulton. The five-year plan will include a market analysis of the two corridors planned for a downtown area, as well as an assessment of the area’s economic vitality, tourism efforts, design aesthetic, and organization for implementing the plan.
