BIRMINGHAM, AL (August 27, 2024) – Community leaders from Atlanta, Texas recently participated in Retail Academy, a comprehensive retail education program developed by Retail Strategies. The two-day training, held on August 14 and 15, provided city officials with essential tools and knowledge to attract new retail opportunities in their community.
“Participating in Retail Academy has been an invaluable experience for Atlanta’s leadership team,” said Miranda Johnson, Executive Director for the Atlanta City Development Corporation. “The retail insights, data, and retail development strategy provided by Retail Strategies has equipped us with the resources necessary to effectively attract retail businesses to our city. This training is a crucial step towards expanding the retail environment that will meet the needs of our community and drive economic growth.”
During the Retail Academy program, Atlanta officials received:
- Comprehensive consumer and market data analysis
- Training on identifying ideal real estate for retail development within Atlanta
- An overview of various databases for finding retail real estate and industry professionals
- Practical training on making proactive outreach to expanding businesses, brokers, and developers
- Guidance on preparation for retail real estate trade shows and events
