Retail Strategies Hires New Talent to Expanding Implementation Team
Retail Strategies is pleased to announce that Brookley Valencia, Harris McCullough, Jack Blankenship, John Mark Boozer, and Julia Giardina have joined Retail Strategies’ growing implementation team. The team consists of portfolio directors and retail development coordinators that work on behalf of community clients’ retail development efforts.
Portfolio directors act as the day-to-day contact for clients and make retailer and property owner outreach on behalf of the city. Retail development coordinators focus on retail recruitment by identifying retail, restaurant, and hospitality companies to fill gaps within client communities.

Brookley Valencia will serve in the role of portfolio director, servicing clients in California, Oregon, and Washington. Brookley has a background working in governmental affairs, most recently working as Director of Government Affairs and Customer Success for Clearview AI. Brookley received her bachelor of arts in communication and information sciences from The University of Alabama. She will be located in Retail Strategies’ Texas office in Fort Worth.
Harris McCullough is a portfolio director for client communities in Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky. Harris previously worked for Retail Strategies’ sister company Retail Specialists as an assistant property manager. She started her time with the company as a retail project analysis intern. Harris received her bachelor’s degree in science in commerce and business administration with a specialization in real estate from The University of Alabama.
Jack Blankenship will service clients in the Midwest and Florida as a retail development coordinator. He previously worked for Techtronic Industries where he was an Event Management Specialist. Jack received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University, majoring in marketing and minoring in psychology.
John Mark Boozer works with Retail Strategies’ clients California and Washington as a retail development coordinator. Prior to joining the company full-time, he served as an intern where he gained hands-on experience in many facets of the commercial real estate industry. John Mark attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he earned his bachelor’s degree in finance with honors.
Julia Giardina will work as a retail development coordinator, making outreach on behalf of clients in Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, and Virginia. Prior to this role, Julia worked as a retail development intern for Retail Strategies where she gained hands-on experience in communicating with municipalities and navigating the different realms of real estate. She is a graduate from the University of Alabama where she earned a bachelor’s of science in commerce and business administration with a major in marketing and a minor in real estate.
