BIRMINGHAM, AL (January 12, 2023) – The City of Eastvale is setting its focus on the future of retail and restaurant development in the community by attending Retail Academy. City staff attended the Retail Academy program, hosted by Retail Strategies, virtually on January 10 and 11. Attendees learned about how to incorporate data on consumer buying power in to discussions with expanding retailers.
“The Eastvale team was excited to attend Retail Academy and learn from the experts at Retail Strategies on what best practices are for attracting new businesses to Eastvale,” said Alexander Fung, senior management analyst for the city of Eastvale. “We wanted to start the year by understanding what retailers look for when evaluating our community and what retailers are a fit for Eastvale.”

Training on data, real estate, and processes for recruiting retail is vital to securing retail development success and will help boost the local economy,” said Madeline Farr, director of Retail Academy. “Now that they have completed Retail Academy, attendees can walk away feeling confident and energized about the retail recruitment process.”
