BIRMINGHAM, AL (August 2, 2022) – Warrensburg, Missouri has selected Retail Strategies, the leading national community development firm, to develop and execute a retail recruitment plan on behalf of the city. After a thorough selection process, city leaders selected the Retail Strategies team to represent Warrensburg to the retail real estate community.

“The city leadership in Warrensburg knows there is a lot of opportunity to enhance the quality of life for our citizens through retail and restaurant attraction,” stated Warrensburg city manager, Danielle Dulin.

“We vetted several firms that create and execute retail recruitment plans for communities and ultimately felt the Retail Strategies team was the best fit for our city’s goals. Their team is well connected to retailers, brokers, and developers in Missouri. We know this partnership will strengthen our retail base and bring new sales tax dollars to the city.”

“With University of Central Missouri, Whiteman Air Force Base, and the proximity to Kansas City, Warrensburg has a variety of attractive qualities that expanding retailers look for,” said John Tiedt, business developer for Retail Strategies. “There is so much potential in the market and our team can’t wait to get started with a market tour to formulate the retail recruitment plan.”

Kam South and Jack Blankenship will be performing a boots-on-the-ground market visit to analyze the real estate opportunities and identify areas for potential expanding businesses. The next step is to create a retail recruitment plan and make outreach to specific retail real estate professionals, including local property owners in Warrensburg, brokers, and developers. The city will receive a tailored retail recruitment plan an in-depth market analysis, and a custom marketing guide. Additionally, the Retail Strategies team will represent the city of Warrensburg at retail real estate trade shows.

My relationship with the Retail Strategies team has been extremely valuable over the last couple of years as I’ve searched for sites in the Southeast. They have been persistent and provided any information they could gather for available properties that fit my criteria. If they received news that a space was coming available they made sure to immediately give me a call and connect with the owners. I would recommend using this service to any of my colleagues looking in their client cities.
